Garden City Weekend
Okay, sorry AGAIN! I have actualy had several posts as drafts, but I had not put the pictures with them, so I didn't publish them. I am now catching up.
Well, we went to Garden City this weekend with the Lancasters. We had a great time just hanging out at the house, and doing a little shopping. The kids had a blast with each other, and they are so incredibly silly. It was so nice watching them. Here are some pictures.

My first Diaper Cake
Again, Nancy introduced this to me. She has made several of these for friends, and I wanted to make an attempt. Our christian education director and his wife are expecting a baby in March (the best month for a birthday), and the church held a baby shower for them today. I really wanted to do something creative. Mom put Peter Rabbit on a cloth diaper and we put an inital on a blanket, and we created the cake so that you could see her wonderful work. I think it turned out pretty good.
Mills
Well, here is another quilt.
Nancy has introduced quilt making to our supper club group. Actually, we don't make the quilts, we cross-stitch a square for Nancy and DuBose to make a quilt. Nancy and her sister have ones from their parents' friends, and she started this for us when Spencer and Mary Kathryn were born. Well, since we are not going to make Nancy sew her own childrens' quilts, we enlist the help of my mother. She did such a great job putting it all together for us. This time we left all the ties untied so that each person could say a prayer for Mills while they tie the string. This idea came from a prayer quilt ministry that we do at my church.
Mills,
We all hope that you feel the love and the prayers that have been put into this quilt. We all love you Mills.

It is now 10 to 3
Pinckney Syms Smith
8 lbs 9 ozs
20 inches long
11:18 AM
Caroline and Stephen and big brother Fordham welcome Pinckney into the world today. I had the privilege of meeting him today, and he is so wonderful. There is nothing quite like a newborn baby. I could have stayed there and held him all day long if I could have. Sadly, it was a quick 30 minute visit. By the way, Caroline, you look so fantastic!
If you are wondering what my title means, I'll tell you. In just our supper club we now have 10 boys and 3 girls. So, we almost have a football team we can sponsor with a few cheerleaders (I feel sure that if the girls wanted to be on the team, they could handle it).
Pinckney, you are already loved by us all!

MILLS' 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY
Okay, I forgot my camera again. I am horrible. It's driving me crazy. So, I just want to say that we all had a fantastic time celebrating Mills' birthday. For some wonderful pictures I will direct you to Nancy's Blog (AGAIN).

Aunt Amy and Uncle Blair Time
While the rest of the family was at the circus, Eliza got to spend some special time with Aunt Amy and Uncle Blair at their house. We dropped her off on our way to the coliseum. Anyway, they said she was a good girl, and I think they had a good time. Here are some pictures they took.
Circus of Dreams
Spencer and I took Spencer to the circus today. It was so much fun to watch his excitment and amazement with everything. We were there with a lot of our wonderful close friends which made everthing even more fun. We can't wait until next year. I, of course, keep forgetting my camera for everything, so if you would like to see some pictures you may go to Nancy's Blog, Caroline's Blog or Dorothy's Blog.

My Sanctuary
So, my parents are so awesome. For Christmas last year and this year they gave Spencer and me a nights stay at The Sanctuary on Kiawah. We just had our night, and Bryan and Anne used theirs at the same time. The only complaint is that we were suppose to have a scheduled early arrival time, but when we arrived at 1ish our room wasn't ready. So, one screwdriver and 2 beers later our room was ready. Anyway, we met Anne and Bryan for drinks before dinner and then ate dinner together at the Jasmine Porch and finished with more drinks in Anne and Bryan's room. Needless to say it was good that we didn't have to drive home. It was a wonderful recharging night. I have already told Mom that is what we want for Christmas next year.
